Our jewellery is made of PVD gold (or silver) plated stainless steel.

PVD (Physical Vapor Deposition) is a vacuum process that creates longer-lasting, durable jewellery. PVD plating is far more resistant to tarnishing (corrosion) than standard plated jewellery. PVD plated jewellery can be easily maintained, is hypoallergenic, and can last up to a lifetime - making it the perfect choice for everyday jewellery.

Stainless steel jewellery is incredibly durable and therefore great for everyday wear. Stainless steel is also perfect for anyone with allergies to certain metals and/or sensitive skin as it is hypoallergenic - you can be confident stainless steel jewellery won’t irritate your skin. 

Yes! We only use stainless steel as a base metal in each earring design to ensure each pair can be worn by everyone. 

Yes… but beware! Although our jewellery is waterproof, it can still be discoloured and corroded by certain chemicals which could include the lotions and potions found in your shower. Be wary of this and try to only expose your Chorley Would jewellery to water.

Unfortunately, the chemicals found in swimming pools (e.g. chlorine) will corrode your Chorley Would jewellery, or at the very least, dramatically speed up the corrosion process - you’ve been warned! 

To ensure your jewellery stays shiny and gold (or silver!) for as long as possible, keep it stored away in our plastic ziplocks provided. Make sure your jewellery is dry before storing.
